Serendipity

Novelist James Xavier Lucas awakens in his hotel room in Paris, sits at his typewriter, and waits for inspiration while a continent away, in New York, his wife and son await his return. It is a routine the author knows too well, as he often resorts to it when the mundane details of life become stifling. Retreating to his favorite hideaway, he hopes to find solace in the foreign land which throughout the years has always welcomed him. This trip, however, is different. Suddenly Paris can no longer offer James the blissful ignorance and anonymity he desires. And through the emotional trials he faces during his final escape into his once-cherished haven, James comes to find a truth in his life he had never expected.
