Zebra In The Water

Set in the neighborhoods of New York City, Zebra in the Water is the story of Diana Johnson, an artist who is being terrorized by someone staging a series of bizarre murders that recreate paintings. Diana and a friend (and former lover), NYPD Detective Lt. Ray "Ruby" Rubinski, cannot identify the stalker until they figure out these deadly puzzles -- and until they face the truth about their past together and their own deepest feelings. Each of the staged crimes becomes more personal and more threatening to Diana and Ruby. Is this a serial killer or is it someone with a personal vendetta against them? And how can this person possibly know so many intimate details about their lives? Diana becomes so outraged at the threat to her family that she puts her life in jeopardy to confront the murderer, while Ruby races against time to save her.
