The year is 1861. The first great battle of the Civil War has yet to be fought, but all that is about to change. Union Brigadier General Irvin McDowell moves his army of 39,000 men south to Manassas, Virginia. Confederate Brigadier General G.T. Beauregard awaits him with an army of 21,000.
