Wounds

This 2018 winner of the Christopher Ewart-Biggs Memorial Prize tells the story of BBC correspondent Fergal Keane's family connection to the revolutionary action that followed the 1916 Rising, and to the violence in the north of Kerry taking place in 1922. Keane extends this example to look at conflicts he has been exposed to in his work as a journalist in a newly generational light.
