The Wormdigger\'s Daughter

The Wormdigger's Daughter is the heart-breaking story of a family on the run. Molly and her husband Frank work on a large estate in Ireland. Having already lost three sons to their hard life, they focus all of their love on their daughter, Angel. When they overhear the master of the estate lay claim to her, they flee in the dead of night. After being falsely accused of stealing they become fugitives and must disguise Angel as a boy. Their lives are governed by the terror of being discovered and above all, by their fear of what would happen to their daughter if she had to return. Their only hope lay with some influential Americans who befriend them and offer the possibility of escape - but at a terrible price.
