The White Stallion

School is out. Andy is excited to begin a summer adventure with his friends. Andy is very competitive and outgoing even though he was born without his right hand. At home Andy learns that he and his dad will travel to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to help his great-grandpa Eddy. Grandpa Eddy is Cherokee. Andy is angry. His summer plans are ruined. Leaving his friends, who accept him, to travel to an unfamiliar place frightens Andy. He doesnat know Grandpa Eddy or the Cherokee. Will they like him? Will they ask questions about his missing right hand? The drive lulls Andy to sleep, and he dreams of a mysterious white stallion. The white stallionas eyes seem to stare deep inside of Andy, as if he knows him and understood everything about him. Little does Andy realize how his life is about to change.
