What the Oceans Remember: Searching for Belonging and Home

By accepting an invitation to join a family tree project, the author was inspired to take a journey to the heart of the histories that have shaped her identity. Archival research in Suriname, the Netherlands, the UK, and Canada gave the author an opportunity to answer two central questions: Where does she belong? And who does she belong to?
