The Byzantine Empire rules much of Europe but the people are restless. Arduin of Fassano - with the Lombard and Norman men he commands - are mercenaries for Byzantine general Doukeianos. However, the time may have come for revolt against their Eastern rulers, putting the might of Byzantium in danger.
