In this sense, platelet rich fibrin (PRF) appears as a natural and satisfactory alternative with favourable results and low risks. The following is to summarize the relevant literature regarding the technique of using PRF, focusing on its preparation, advantages, and disadvantages of using it in clinical applications. PRF alone or in combination with other biomaterials seems to have several advantages and indications both for medicine and dentistry, due it is a minimally invasive technique with low risks and satisfactory clinical results.
