Descrizione Unlocking Landlocked Ethiopia
This book is about solutions. Solutions which can make Ethiopia develop a little bit faster and tackle its political and security related problems firmer. In order to do so, basing previous academic works in the field of Development and Security it took Ethiopia's weak geographic location as hindrance for its development and springboard for its security trait. The areas in which the solutions are sought are limited in three, International Law, Economics and Politics. International law is about treaties and agreements which made and kept Ethiopia landlocked. Economics, as an area of knowledge which deals with optimization of benefits and minimization of costs, Ethiopiäs potential in increasing its benefits and reducing its costs using different instruments are considered. Politics as it is full of potential to create something relatively from almost nothing, and as a major force which drove Ethiopia into its status of landlockedness; its force in unlocking it gain is review. Three of the areas provided some solutions, with differing nature and possibility of occurrence. Each solutions has got pros and cons, this is also covered in the horizon of the book.
