Descrizione True Adventures of the Outdoors

The author is twenty feet off the ground in a slender tree, in the dead of night, when he hears a scream that is unlike anything he has ever heard. He watches in horror as the other two boys who were with him on the ground, leave the scene immediately running as fast as they can! He has been left alone in that tree to face the critter that is screaming in the nearby bushes. In another adventure, the author watches in horror as two angry wasps leave their nest and quickly fly his way. He is in a fishing boat with nowhere to go to escape the evil insects and the only weapon he has the deal with the wasps is his trusty boat paddle. True Adventures of the Outdoors is a book that is written about the many adventures the author has had in his life. Being in the outdoors as much as he has, not only in his early life but in his later years as well, while fishing, running, hiking, hunting, playing softball etc. has given Danny the unique opportunity to witness nature at its finest and in many different environments and circumstances. He tells stories that are interesting, exciting and sometimes scary. The author gives his version of how these stories transpired, while adding a little humor to many of them. Even though he lived most of these stories himself, Danny McCarty doesn't mind making himself out to be the "fall guy". In many instances the joke is on him instead of someone else. The stories were told not only to make people laugh, shutter and cry, but to make them smile and remember similar things that happened to themselves in the outdoors. Whether it is hot, cold, wet, dry, or anything in between, Danny would rather be outdoors!
