Traces Of Me In Poetry

Candie Frazier Knight was born in Mobile, Alabama, in 1965. Her parents are Nancy Flannagan Frazier and the late William Gene Frazier. Her family has lived in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. Candie graduated from George County High School. She had no plans to attend college until her high school English teacher, Brenda Parkinson, talked to her about her future. After high school, she attended Jones Jr. College and then went on to the University of Southern Mississippi. Candie has a masteras degree in special education and teaches school in Seminary, Mississippi. Candie started writing poetry in the seventh grade when her art teacher gave her an assignment to do so. After that, she used poetry to express her feelings and the feelings of others around her. Each poem is a trace of her or someone dear to her in the form of poetry.
