Through Their Eyes

The large crowd gathered in Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas is truly stunned by the actions that have taken place in the first moments of the first quarter of the state championship game. On one side, the fans are delirious with excitement that their team has scored 21 points in such a short period of time, while on the other side the state champions can not believe they are down by that margin before they can get seated for the contest. The hopes and dreams of the Junction fans have suddenly fallen like an avalanche in the "dusty little crossroads to nowhere." Is this where it all ends? A coach and his staff on their way out cross paths with an unusually talented and dedicated group of young men in an out-of-the-way spot on the map and turn the sports world of Texas on its ear. And to add to their storybook-like tale, they have even higher expectations than anyone has ever thought of or imagined, and they make them come true. They become the "dream team" even before the term has been coined.
