This study examined factors that affected vocationaland technology (votech) teachers to adopt informationtechnology (IT) instruction in Southern Taiwan. Thisstudy concluded that male teachers' anxiety levelswere significantly lower than female teachers'levels. Teachers of computer departments had thelowest anxiety levels compared to teachers of nursingand humanity departments. Management departmentteachers had higher intention compared to nursingdepartment teachers toward IT instruction. Moresenior teachers had less intention than less seniorteachers regarding IT instruction and vice versa.Teachers' computer knowledge, perception ofusefulness and interest significantly affected theiranxiety levels. Teachers' perception of usefulness,interest and climate factors significantly influencedtheir beliefs toward IT instruction. Teachers'computer knowledge, interest and perception ofusefulness significantly influenced their intentionsabout IT instruction. The findings would provideinformation for schools and human resourceadministrators to better understand faculty attitudesand needs in order to provide assistance and trainingto improve their teaching performance.
