Tatterdemalion (1920) by John Galsworthy is a story collection divided in two parts, of wartime and peacetime, and examining all strata of society. British author John Galsworthy is best known for his monumental The Forsyte Saga, and his intense, complex psychological portraits represent the transition from the Victorian to the Edwardian period.
