The Strangle Hold

In 1840, Marty Thompson didnat share his parentsa dream of going west to California. At fourteen he ran away from their covered wagon in Amarillo, Texas, to make a life for himself. He was befriended by an elderly blacksmith that taught him the trade. After the old blacksmith died, Marty couldnat cope with the outside world any longer, so he discovered a world of his own inside a liquor bottle. Soon Marty became dissatisfied with the drunkardas lifestyle and decided to follow his mother and fatheras dream that never materialized for them. So he headed to California in search for gold. Will he sober up to complete his parentsa dream, or will he be contented leading a solitary life of an alcoholic? Itas his choice.
