The Stillness Broken

NYPD Homicide detective, Maxwell Graham receives news that his best friend from his college years, Ray Deverol, has resurfaced after a mysterious twenty year disappearance. Max and Ray rekindle their friendship, but soon after, Ray inexplicably disappears a second time. Max sets out to find out why. He embarks on an investigation littered with underworld figures, drug traffickers, and deceitful women. In the course of his pursuit, his life and the lives of his loved ones is threatened, and his bureau chief has ordered him to stop his investigation. All obstacles in keeping Max from discovering his friend's whereabouts. Someone is trying to keep Max from learning the truth. Thus, begins an unanticipated battle of wits and survival that only impedes Max's efforts. He is now challenged with finding Ray, battling a small army that wants him dead, keeping those close to him out of harm's way, and doing it all without his bureau chief finding out.
