Cerebrovascular disease is one of the top leading causes of death and is one of the most disabling of all neurologic diseases. This work explores both the pathophysiology of atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease and the techniques used to treat it. It also discusses angioplasty and stenting, as are the devices and techniques used.
