A Spiritual Memoir

Monge grew up in southwestern Minnesota in a Norwegian Pietistic home. His education at the University of Minnesota (philosophy major) challenged his belief system. He spent four years at Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota, which gave him a thorough grounding in Lutheranism. But his curious mind kept challenging his faith, and living with major depression all of his life made his faith in Christ very real.
