Jennifer Ross is killed by a drunk driver on her way to her new job as Marie Paige Museum curator. While family and friends mourn her passing, Abaddon, Satanas right-hand man, sends his best retriever, Erling Fingal, back to the human world because the underworld is losing the race to gain souls to the aBig Mana upstairs. Erling and his apprentice, Zera Thibodeaux, are to guide Jenny so she can exact her revenge on those who caused her death and to convince her husband, Vance, to join her. Vance enlists the help of the police, a psycho nurse, and an old whiskey-drinking gypsy woman to put a stop to Jennyas rampage and to preserve not only his sanity, but save his life.
