I Speak With My Heart

I Speak With My Heart, is Cheryl A. Borrelli's follow up and continuation journal to Dear Nicky, Love Mommy. In this book, she continues to educate readers as to how it feels to experience daily life, struggles, and joy with her son Nicky, who has autism. In this book, Cheryl describes her journey out of depression and into self discovery, what perspectives and life experiences have been learned through her 19 years of raising her son, while encouraging, educating, and inspiring others to reach their fullest potential in their lives despite whatever difficulties must be faced. She shares what tools she has learned to cope, as well as to find peace and joy as a family through acceptance and unconditional love. She gives examples of experiences at home, school, and the medical profession, as well as within the community and family, as a way to educate how autism feels from a parent's perspective.
