Any crime in which either computer is used as a weapon or computer itself is the target is termed as cybercrime. With the use of new media technology such as internet, computer, mobile, etc. cybercrimes are committed. Crime which involves new media technology is spreading very fast creating an adverse impact in the cultural, economic and social construction of people. Digital technology has its impact on the media systems of print, electronic, computer and telecommunications. These technologies are dominating computers and creating various forms of new media. New media technology is the convergence of computer based technologies. Social media is the biggest example of new media which is the great creation of digital technologies.
