Excerpt from The Student, Vol. 4: From Ninth Month, 1883, to Eight Month, 1884A correspondent in England sends na some clippings from English papers to show the tendency in educational matters there. The first is from an editorial in the London Standard, of 6 mo. 14th, and the second from remarks made by Lord Salisbury, at the annual distribution of prizes to the Students of General Literature and Applied Science, at King's College, London, as reported in the London limes, of 7 mo. 4th.
