Now we are in the present day, and a dancer called David falls in love with the fascinating but at times maddening Angie, a beautiful, petite, red-headed young woman. Their lives, their strivings and their longings, though separated by hundreds of years, mirror each other in extraordinary ways. Both couples find their fate in Spain, though in different ways. One woman faces tragedy when her lover disappears; the other woman disappears to Spain, but she and her lover are reunited, only to meet with tragedy at the end. What is the mysterious connection between the two couples?
