In a small southern town in the early 1950s, a young African-American girl was pulled from the familyas truck one night on a lonely, country road by the KKK and raped and murdered. The case was never solved. Fifteen years later, Toneika, a young white female detective is determined to solve this cold case because she believes that evil will only triumph if good people do nothing. She plans to resurrect the truth. This book produces positive thoughts and hopefulness in a time and place where both are sorely needed.
