"In 1883, young Wes Montana, hired gun for the cattlemen in Montana Territory, lives a dark life, but he is so dangerous, no one dares call him a breed. When a range fire threatens the Eastman ranch, Mona's involvement with the death of Wes' mother throws more fuel on the range war as Mona leaves Ray to die but ends up being murdered by her lover. Ray survives and the war ends. Just as calm returns to the mesa, the hired killer of Wes' mother. comes for Wes in a violent gunfight, but Wes survives to marry Rosalie.
