Subjects are: Isabel Burton, wife of Sir Richard Borton; Maria Nys, first wife of Aldous Huxley; Franoise Gilot, mistress to Pablo Picasso; Helen Dukas, assistant to Albert Einstein, and Vera Slonim, wife of Vladimir Nabokov.
