Almost every day articles are being published on the evils of sex, chocolate and alcohol with possible health and social benefits of these pleasures poorly publicised. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and has previously run a "Health Alert" blood-testing company. He has published over 200 books and research papers on immunology, cancer invasion, influenza, tropical diseases and MRSA. He played squash for Wales, ran the London Marathon at the age of 50 and works-out regularly in the gym.
