Scarhaven Keep

Oliver Bassett, an actor and director in northern England, goes missing. A young author is intending to meet Bassett and sets out with another man to find him. They track him to Scarhaven, where he has disappeared. Copplestone meets Audrey Greyle, the cousin of the Squire of Scarhaven Keep, and before long another mystery unfolds.
