Salt Lake Impressions

Smith and Trimble present 103 photographs of the bustling city nestled in the classic Great Basin valley between the Wasatch and Oquirrh mountains. The images convey the city's brilliant landscapes and cityscapes, large and small, from the salt-crusted shorelines of the Great Salt Lake to the Dale Chihuly glass sculpture Olympic Tower in Abravanel Hall, from autumn foliage in the Tracy Aviary to Trolley Square's neon water tower, from festively-lit Temple Square to the bright murals at Artspace on Pierpont Avenue. A thoughtful foreword written by Salt Lake City-native Holly Mullen, editor of City Weekly, and informative captions written by writer and naturalist Stephen Trimble complement the photographs.
