Rough or Smooth?

Readers go on a treasure hunt to find a range of familiar materials and explore their properties. Each book sets the children a task of finding objects with contrasting properties to build up a collection for display. The series provides an excellent opportunity for discussing materials and their properties, and investigating texture, shape and form. This series introduces key vocabulary to help children talk about their own observations and experiences.
