Descrizione Role of Post Translational Modification in Mammalian Tyrosine Kinase

Bioinformatics is an emerging field which has been integrated with almost all biological sciences. Bioinformatics used in protein biochemistry is called proteomics. Experimental determination of a modified residue in a peptide chain is very difficult and time consuming process. For this purpose, bioinformatics tools are very helpful. Netphos 2.0 server predicts phosphorylation at S T and Y sites. Highest percentage occurs at S 52.28% data, 23.47% data supports phosphorylation around T and 37.63% around Y. Acetylation around Lys occurs with 75.62% of data. Glycosylation occurs around Ser and Thr. In some tyrosine proteins methylation is also found around Lys but rate is low. This work will be helpful for researches to determine the substrate specificity of transferase, which will be helpful for development and desining of new drugs and to understand different pathologies.
