Rocky Road

Growing up in rural Nebraska, Jamie Temple has always been a perfect student as well as a star cheerleader. She lives the life of a typical 18-year-old, complete with a typically dysfunctional family, including a stepfather only twelve years her senior. Following graduation, she is attending college on a full-ride cheerleading scholarship. Everything is seemingly going according to plan. That is, until tragedy strikes very near and dear to her heart. Her world is completely turned upside down. When she can no longer deal with the burdens piled upon her in Nebraska, she picks up and goes to California, running from certain sorrows only to discover new, more intense ones waiting for her. She is faced with a journey filled with tragedy, tribulation, and triumph. She begins the journey down what will surely prove to be a rocky road in a story of self-exploration, discovery, and realizing oneas own inner strength.
