Private Conversation

Sometimes we feel as though our world is caving in around us and that everyone is against us, even God. When everything is being stripped away from us, we tend to cling harder to the things that we want, closing our fists around them and holding on for dear life, only to lose faster and more painfully. God wants us to embrace our trials and not ask why they are happening to us, but to ask him what we may learn from them. He wants us to open our tightly clenched fists, let go of every dream, pain, sorrow, want, and fear, and hang onto him and only him. Private Conversation is a conversation a young girl has with God as she struggles through lifeas hardships. As she cries out to God in anger, fear, pain, and anguish, he meets each of her prayers with a loving reminder of his powerful presence, his sufficient grace, his omnipresence and his merciful forgiveness.
