Praying for Sheetrock

Set in McIntosh County, Georgia, in the 1970s, this is the true story of the political awakening of a tiny black community, and of the downfall of a flamboyant white sheriff and his gang. It is also the story of the rise of Thurnell Aston, a disabled black boilermaker.
