Paul Tradour is a teacher, doctor, and pastor who, for the best part of a decade, has labored faithfully amongst the remnant people of one of Africa's great tribal nations. After an unsuccessful attempt to return to the United States, he cannot refuse the calling of his beloved continent once again. The former Sergeant Daniel Rutter, a South African Special Forces sniper, was never supposed to return from one final mission that nearly cost him his life. After being ordered to kill Pieter Dortmus, the father of his friend Elizabeth, he uncovers his victim's legacy-a fortune in diamonds from a secret mine.
