Peoples and Cultures of East Africa

Full-color throughout, the new six-volume Peoples and Cultures of Africa set presents hard-to-find information in a highly visual and easily accessible presentation. Five of the six volumes cover large geographical regions, including North Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, East Africa, and Central Africa. These volumes contain regional introductions followed by a series of A-to-Z articles on particular ethnic groups, material cultures, performing arts and literature, and religious, social, and cultural topics. Each volume ends with an index specific to that volume. The sixth volume, Nations and Personalities, provides details on every African country, continent-wide cultural organizations and festivals (such as Fespaco and Festac).
