Descrizione Our Final Say, Not Hearsay
Following the first collection of experiences, published in 2014, this account features stories not only from an Anglo/French community in Paris, but also from allies in the United States, all veterans of one conflict or another. The book is in three parts, reflecting World War I, World War II, and more recent times of conflict across the world. It also includes contemporary insights by a handful of children in the Parisian community who were encouraged by the Paris Branch of the Royal British Legion to compose their own range of poems on the subject of remembrance and conflict generally. Whilst sold to raise all-important funds for the Legion, the book is aimed at understanding the human element in its work, including understanding the needs of many ex-service personnel and their families who, having served their country, now require support.
