This book deals with arrangements for the involvement of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the activities of international organizations. In response to a need for maintaining the balance between the growing influence of NGOs in international decision-making and the adequate formal mechanisms for their involvement in these processes, the book examines and compares rules and practices existing in this area in a number of international institutions.
