After a long illness, a writer is invited to a congress of biographers in the city of Jerusalem, a metaphor for a city besieged by war, ready to succumb. The account of the bizarre lives of the participants to the Congress - as in a modern Decameron - surprises protagonist. Such is the case of the bookseller and biographer Edgar French Supervielle Miret, the Italian porn actress Sabina Vedovelli of Colombian entrepreneur Kaplan and Moses, especially Jose Maturana, a former pastor evangelical, ex-convict and former drug addict who, with the powerful language of the streets sordid, narrates the journey of her rescuer, a Miami Latino charismatic messiah.
