My First Catechism

A milestone in every Lutherans life is learning the faith essentials as explained in Luther's Small Catechism. Beyond simply reciting a summary of what the Bible teaches, though, the catechism helps us understand and live out our faith at home, at school, and in the community. My First Catechism is a first-step resource to help parents teach the faith to their children. Organized in the same way as the Small Catechism, it explains the main point of each of the Six Chief Parts, defines terms, points to familiar examples in everyday life, and promotes family faith development. Learning and living the catechism is as simple as reading and talking about how we love and serve others in God's kingdom.
