My Best Friend's Sister is the true story of MaryLou, my best friend Tricia's sister who is both mentally and physically disabled. This doesn't stop MaryLou from living a full and rewarding life. I wrote this book to help children as well as adults understand from her perspective how she is alot like the children who are not faced with disabilities. She has interests, favorite movies, a workshop she attends everyday and most importantly she laughs and has fun but has worries and fears just like all kids do.
