At the 58th Annual Convocation - 2008 at the Aligarh Muslim University, a woman clad in hijab, Dr. Sumaiya received as many as twelve medals in the prestigious course MBBS. Her feat indicates that Muslim girls are advancing in the field of education. Another former engineering graduate of the Aligarh Muslim University, Khushboo Mirza played a lead role in the launch of Chandrayan, first ever Indian satellite to the moon. The present work is a tribute to Shaikh Muhammad Abdullah for his services to the cause of women education.
