Mudpuppies to Mountains

The author's mother (Becky in the story) and her family move from Michigan to Washington State in the early 1900s. The tiny logging town has one grocery store, a one-room schoolhouse used as a church, seven saloons-and a forest filled with dangerous animals. But God protects the family.
