Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals: Land Transport of Poultry

This code emphasises the responsibilities of the poultry producer, agent, catching crew and transport personnel. The code is intended to encourage considerate treatment of birds so that transport stress and injury are minimised. The general objective is to minimise any adverse effects on birds by ensuring they are transported to their destination as safely as possible.
