Missa Sancti Nicolai, Hob.XXII

Composed in for Nicholas Esterhazy's name-day, the mass most likely received its premiere in the music hall of Schloss Esterhazy in Eisenstadt on December 6th, 1772 with the composer leading the vocal soli, chorus and orchestra. This new edition, thoroughly researched by Clark McAlister, includes a full continuo realization plus the extended version of the Credo which has become popular over the years. First issued in large score and parts by the now-defunct E.F. Kalmus in 2006, Serenissima is pleased to make this outstanding edition available in an inexpensive study score format and the large score and parts are now exclusively available from Serenissima.
