Mary Howitt 2 Volume Set

Published posthumously in 1889, this autobiography describes the life of the author and translator Mary Howitt (1799-1888). Volume 1 covers Howitt's Quaker childhood, her marriage and the birth of her children. Volume 2 describes European travels, the deaths of two sons, her interest in spiritualism and her conversion to Catholicism.
