Marching Across The Heart

Anne Mercer is a young, attractive, talented student with a part-time gig in the army reserves. Selected to attend a prestigious military music school during the summer, her life seems to be marching smoothly along, although she'd like to spend more time with her boyfriend, Paul. The problem is, he has other plans-and they don't include her. It doesn't take long for Anne to realize that Alex, the handsome sailor who is thrilled about the breakup, is almost perfect. But the thought of falling in love with him, only to have him deployed to the middle of an ocean, is almost enough to stop Anne from acting on her feelings. Loving someone and then spending long stretches of time alone is not enough either, even for an independent young woman. Faced with a gut-wrenching decision, the choices Anne makes lead her to some serious trouble-the kind of trouble where someone is going to end up terribly hurt, or worse, dead.
