Mama\'s Plan

R. Dean Perry is a mother of three children and grandmother of five. Her first husband, John, died in 1994. After not seeing her high school friend Grant for twenty-five years, she met him again at a school reunion; they were married. Grant passed away in 2000. Her parents were William (Doc) Perry, and Frances Perry Hall. Roberta was born in Maysville, Kentucky, a little town along the Ohio River. She attended Fee High School from first to tenth grade. She graduated from Maysville High School. Roberta worked in retail for twenty-two years. She worked for K-Mart in Maysville for eleven years then transferred to Delaware. There she worked as a fashion merchandising manager. She also worked for Lord & Taylor as Ladyas Department manager. She volunteers, helping the elderly and reading to children at daycare centers.
