The Magic Man

The world watched as an asteroid streaked towards Earth. People hid in mountains, bunkers or simply looked and waited. The asteroid missed Earth, causing minimal damage. Parts of the asteroid broke off and burned up in the atmosphere. The people rejoiced and came out of hiding. The asteroid continued on to rendevous with its centuries-old destination: the moon. The asteroid slammed into the moonas already pockmarked surface. Large pieces of the moon were flung into space, and two days later they slammed into the Earth. Death, destruction, fires, earthquakes, and tsunamis followed. Earth was driven back to pre-tech days. Out of the ashes the new government begins again. They hire one man to travel whatas left of the US and bring the citizens under one nation, one government again. His name is the Magic Man, a wise-cracking albino magician with a mysterious past. The New U.S. Government hopes he can work his magic and help unite the U.S. under one flag again.
